Hey! I’m Akira, the owner of Hexcaps.
Hexcaps has come a long way since I took over the business in late 2023. In just one year (2024), we’ve transformed from a small brand into a business that I could have never imagined growing into!

A Little About Me, By Me

My background is rooted in dirt jumping and mountain biking. I fell in love with the sport when I was 10 years old, and it’s been a daily passion ever since (I’m 20 now). After five years of riding and posting videos on YouTube and Instagram without much success, I discovered TikTok. I was listening to a business podcast that hyped it up as the next big thing, so I decided to give it a shot. After posting for just a month, one of my videos got more views than all my YouTube videos combined! That success motivated me to keep going, and by my final year of high school, I had built a relatively large personal brand. This experience taught me everything I know about marketing and social media.

When I started university, I enrolled in a marketing course, thinking I’d eventually become a social media strategist or marketing professional.

How Hexcaps Began

In 2023, I did a few ads for a small Australian brand called Hexcaps, and I thought the product was cool—but I didn’t think much of it at the time. Then, in August of that year, after the brand had been running for six months, they asked if I wanted to take over the business. They didn’t have the time to manage it anymore. At first, I wasn’t sure I wanted to run a product-based business, since I was more focused on personal brands and digital marketing. But after some thought, I decided to take the leap—and here we are now!

Where We Are Today

As of November 2024, Hexcaps has sold over 1,000 top caps across Australia and around the world. We’ve grown into something I never imagined possible, and it’s all thanks to you. I truly appreciate every single one of you for your support!
